We should all have learned that the interesting bits are in the documents (7 chapter Report plus 4 annexes plus 14 reports and documents) rather than the speech. It announces that the Business Support simplification Programme has succeeded. I wonder if anyone seeking business support has noticed?
As an impartial reporter (ahem) I did note that Business Link came in for a kicking from several delegates.
However, what didn’t get airtime were the three people on my table (and there were probably more in the room) who had each had a great experience (help, advice, advocacy) from BL staff.
Unfortunately for BL, people spread bad word of mouth at a rate 10 times faster than good. Probably to do with the distrust of govt.
