Working for yourself means you can break up the day with a bit of exercise. Running round the park, the harbourside and the neighbourhood streets is good for health and wellbeing. And it can help keep your blog ticking over, too.
Three observations on jogging and blogging:
- You rarely want to start a run but, when you get going, it actually feels good. And when it’s over it feels better. The same applies to writing posts.
- Blogging shouldn’t be a race round the track. Yes, it is good to post regularly, but an obsession with frequency can sometimes reveal poor content (that’s my excuse, anyway).
- Running at a steady pace is good for creative thinking. The metronomic nature. The mild physical effort. A measured run allows ideas and concepts to float free, a fertile ground for blog ideas to flourish.
