Father and son entrepreneurs Imad and Kamal Merhabi’s tasty pomegranate-based sauces, MezzeSoul, are a wonderful discovery for UK households. But the brand’s online presence was so poor it was having a negative effect on a bid to be listed with the UK’s biggest grocery chains.
Healthy Recipes Ltd had developed MezzeSoul — a range of pomegranate-based sauces — to give UK consumers a taste of Lebanese cuisine. But their first website had dated badly, was poorly written and wasn’t fully mobile responsive. BuzzedUp was tasked with developing a responsive website chock full of key messages and beautiful images to drive interest and sales of the fledgling brand.
The new fresh, clean, responsive website gives the brand a strong online presence. All product and recipe copy was reviewed and rewritten after extensive discussion with the brand owners. We incorporated focus group research into the design process to deliver an attractive site that did justice to the brand’s aspirations.
MezzeSoul’s is now listed at Tesco with Waitrose imminent. In due course consumers will buy direct via an ecommerce plug-in to the site.
