Niche management change consultancy Integral Change works with some of the biggest names in the public and private sector. Its unique solution employs ‘minimal interventions’ and has won many significant contracts after delivering long-lasting, positive change to large organisations.

These successes have always resulted in strong referrals and brought in new opportunities. But directors Esther Cameron and Nick Mayhew wanted to cast the net yet wider and promote their services more effectively online.

“We were acutely aware that the online marketing landscape has changed in the last five years. Although we have a good website, we were not engaged at all with social media, blogging or the wider online networking opportunities for leveraging our ideas and approach. We wanted to find a trusted and experienced expert to get us up to speed with social media and ‘the new marketing’.” (Nick Mayhew)

Over three months BuzzedUp’s Mick Dickinson worked with the team to introduce the key concepts underpinning a joined-up social marketing programme:

  • Content as a marketing tool (centred on a valuable blog)
  • The business benefits of social media (Twitter and LinkedIn in this instance)
  • How to use advanced segmentation in email marketing (data profiling in Mailchimp)

“Mick worked hard to tune into our business and helped us to articulate and think through exactly what we were trying to do and how we might go about it using social media, which was quite new to us.  He provided useful tools and techniques for us to learn and use, asked lots of good probing questions, chipped in with a great deal of helpful tips and advice and was extremely flexible in the way he worked around our other commitments.” (Esther Cameron)

I want change (Banksy lookalike)The project was kept on track by monthly face-to-face meetings, lots of skype and email contact, and a genuine interest and commitment to serve.

“We are delighted and energised by the journey we have been on and the progress we’ve made. We now have a very strong blog packed with valuable content. The posts articulate what we do in different ways and to different audiences. This means we have plenty to share, talk about and refer to in our business development work.” (Nick Mayhew)

“Mick’s marketing expertise has helped us to achieve a step-change in our production of blog posts, use of social networks and the way we organise and formulate our email communications. Now Nick and I and can track our own progress and make better decisions about what to do next. It’s a big step forward.” (Esther Cameron)
